My name Is Brenda. I'm a junior who takes AP Lang. The purpose of this portfolio is too showcase my AP work for the rest of the year. My favorite thing about AP Lang is the fact that it isn't a regular English class. We challenge ourselves. As a AP class we are preparing ourselves for college level work. Another thing is the different people you meet who like me have a common goal and that is to go to collegeand are not afraid of challenges !
Some of the things in which we will be learning in AP will be college level rhetoric and writing curriculum. This requires students to develop evidence based analytic and argumentative essays. Throughout the course we develop our own style of writing. Our writing and understanding in an AP class increases tremendously. In this class we learn different forms of essays and use different rhetorical strategies to persuade our readers on our point of views. All of these different elements combine in 1 class over the course of 1 school year to help us prepare for college.
